Ingredients
8 black tea bags (steeped in 4 cups of water for 5 minutes, for the tea)
1 pound strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup fresh basil, plus more for serving

Directions
- Prepare the black tea and set aside.
- Bring 1 cup of water and 3/4 cup sugar to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, add basil, and let steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain basil syrup over strawberries. Discard basil and toss to coat.
- Combine berries (with syrup) and tea in a pitcher.
- Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice and garnish with basil.
